Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ, is seeking a Senior Supervisor Electrical Maintenance to oversee safe, efficient operation of an assigned work unit. You will supervise first-line Supervisors, coordinate with maintenance, processing, engineering, safety, and other teams to execute the production plan and maintain uptime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 7 years of supervisory experience or a technical degree with 3 years; electrical/instrumentation expertise is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 7 years related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with 3 years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures
• Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and control safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate Supervisors
• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules
• Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning
• Ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures and compliance with laws and regulations
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained
• Coordinate daily with Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales
• Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors
• Perform other duties as required
