Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Leader for the TRISO-X Fuel Fabrication Facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This on-site, full-time role leads a group on challenging electrical engineering projects, coordinating multi-discipline interfaces and ensuring deliverables meet technical, quality, and budget expectations.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 10+ years' design experience for power plants, 3+ years leading a design group,

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten+ years’ experience designing electrical systems for power plants.
• Three+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design change packages, calculations, and specs.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a lead engineering role.
• Experience with electrical system design including LV/MV distribution (transformers, generators, motors, relays).
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey information to project team and client.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Detail-oriented approach to work.
• PE Licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to complete electrical engineering deliverables meeting technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations.
• Define deliverables and scope of work for group members.
• Review status and track progress to maintain scope and budget; keep client informed.
• Conduct routine status meetings and submit progress reports.
• Track and resolve open items and emergent project issues.
• Coordinate completion of project deliverables and interface with other disciplines.
