Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team to support instrumentation and control systems for electrical distribution. The role emphasizes technical leadership, plans, schematics, and project execution with reliability at the forefront.

You will lead instrumentation design efforts, review schematics, and mentor team members while collaborating with multi-discipline groups to deliver robust electrical solutions for hyperscale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in instrumentation and control systems within industrial electrical and/or hyperscale data center sectors.
• Expertise in distribution and generation instrumentation and control systems for building infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of instrumentation sensors and control schemes; knowledge of ISA/IEC/IEEE standards.
• Experience working with DCS, SIS, and PLC; ability to read P&IDs and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support instrumentation-related threat mitigation action plans and incident investigations.
• Ensure smooth real-time operation of instrumentation systems; analyze data and develop operating procedures.
• Develop efficient, reliable electrical design packages for low/medium voltage infrastructure.
• Lead Instrumentation and Control design for projects; define control schemes to meet reliability requirements.
• Review data sheets, control block diagrams, and functional descriptions for instrumentation projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
