Job summary

King County Water and Land Resources Division -WA is seeking a Wastewater Construction Management III - Electrical Inspector to ensure electrical/I&C installations meet drawings, specs, and code at Brightwater Treatment Plant in Woodinville, WA. The role involves inspecting treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems, with complex projects up to $100M.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with 40 hours per week and union representation (TEA).

Qualifications

• Experience in inspecting electrical and instrumentation and control systems in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of electrical and instrumentation and control installations for assigned construction contracts/projects.
• Coordinate work with other inspection staff and provide lead direction to lower-level staff.
• Assist in review of contractor submittals for electrical construction work for conformance with contract specifications and drawings.
• Prepare inspection and testing reports, field notes, and other required reports; support change order preparations, contract dispute resolution and closeouts as required.
• Implement a defined program of inspection, sampling and testing and startup, and commissioning of facilities and equipment to ensure efficient operations and identify problems.
• Review and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with acceptable construction methods.
