Job summary

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology in Irvine, CA seeks a Lead Electrical Hardware & Systems Engineer to own the architecture, design, validation, and release of electrical hardware for precision sensor products. This role requires leadership across firmware, software, mechanical, test, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Focus areas include analog and mixed-signal sensing electronics, low-noise conditioning, data acquisition, power and protection circuits, PCB design, and hardware/firmware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience developing electrical hardware for instrumentation, sensor, or related products.
• Strong hands-on analog and mixed-signal design experience including signal conditioning, filtering, amplifiers, and ADC/DAC integration.
• Demonstrated ownership of hardware development from requirements through release and production support.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, BOM control, DFM/DFT, and controlled engineering releases using Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical hardware architecture, schematic design, PCB design oversight, validation, and release activities for precision sensor and embedded measurement platforms.
• Develop analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits for signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, data acquisition, ADC/DAC integration, power management, and protection.
• Define hardware requirements, interfaces, design constraints, PCB stackups, component selection, and manufacturing documentation with cross-functional teams.
• Lead board bring-up, hardware validation, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, and drive hardware direction for future product platforms.
