Job summary

RTX's Energetics and Propulsion Department in Tucson is seeking a Senior Engineer for Fuze & Initiation Systems. The role focuses on advanced fuze and initiation design, safety analysis, and system integration for missiles and space vehicles.

You will develop architectures, conduct testing, and prepare SOWs while collaborating with customers, subcontractors, and DoD safety boards. This onsite position requires a transferable DoD clearance and strong STEM credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years in developing electronic circuit design from concept to final test/assembly or electronic safe-and-arm device development experience.
• Strong project management skills applied to team interactions and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technologies and principles to fuze/ignition system integration for missiles and space vehicles.
• Support the Systems Safety Engineering Organization and customer interfaces.
• Develop fuze architectures and top-level designs; assess and test safety devices.
