The role involves investigating electrical failures, preparing detailed reports, and providing expert opinions in litigation where needed.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical Engineering with a P.E. license and 2–10 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• P.E. license required.
• 2–10 years of experience in electrical forensics or related field.
• Project management and/or field investigation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performs investigation and analysis within electrical engineering to resolve claims and legal matters.
• Prepares oral and written reports documenting causes of failure and remediation needs; may provide expert testimony.
• Manages multiple projects, coordinating with other experts to produce client reports on time.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed during project execution.
• Utilizes various equations, drafting/design software, testing devices, and surveying techniques.
