ABM Industries in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician for the Electrical Power Services team. You will travel about 50% of the time to inspect, test, and commission electrical power distribution equipment at customer sites, often leading a crew and junior technicians.

Responsibilities include supervision of trainees, data collection, test data evaluation, and field reports, with strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electrical testing.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 50%.
• Experience with NETA Acceptance & Maintenance Testing Standards.

Responsabilités

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems.
• Supervise Trainees, Assistants, and Technicians in the completion of electrical testing duties.
• Observe testing, assign work on projects to capable technicians, ensure consistency across testers.
• Track project scope completion and communicate with ABM and Customer Management.
• Maintain, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
• Test and inspect low, medium, and high-voltage cable installations.
• Maintain, test, and repair transformers and related equipment.
• Test and calibrate relays and power metering.
• Perform relay calibration and protection system checks.
• Start-up, troubleshoot, and repair generator controls and transfer schemes.
• Test and commission protection and control systems on high voltage substations.
• Review and submit timecards, expense, and project reports.
• Document test results and complete field reports.
