Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking an Electrical Field Services Inspector to support municipal, industrial, federal, and private sector projects. You will coordinate daily field activities with the construction management team, client inspection and engineering, and contractors to ensure proper installation and code conformance.

The role includes field investigations, arc flash data collection, and coordination of design layout with engineers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience).
• 4+ years of Construction Inspection Experience
• Client requested certifications
• Strong computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Perform constructability reviews of designs
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of NEC procedures, practices, installation, and testing methods
• Coordinate field investigations for arc flash data collection and ground grid testing
• Research electrical equipment standards and specify layout and panel schedules
• Perform electrical calculations including arc flash, short circuit, and voltage drop
• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities for contractor compliance
• Assign and manage inspection staff across project phases
• Draft project correspondence and facilitate project meetings
• Gather and maintain record documents
• Make field notes and computations
• Interact with stakeholders to respond to inquiries
