Job summary

Accent Electrical Services, a commercial electrical contractor based in Broomfield, CO, seeks a seasoned estimator to lead the estimating process from budgeting through award.

You will build budgets, run hard-bid and negotiated estimates up to $9M, track changes, and hand off clean budgets to PMs. The role requires hands-on training with the current team and direct client engagement through bid events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience (contractor side) and 10+ years total in the electrical industry.
• Proficiency in Trimble Accubid Pro is required.
• PlanSwift or similar takeoff platform is required.
• Experience with Procore, BuildingConnected, and ITB/plan-room platforms.
• Strong Excel/Word skills for estimating, proposals, and data analysis.
• Professional business writing for emails, proposals, and scope letters.
• Journeyman/master electrician license or construction management degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete hard-bid and negotiated estimates for commercial electrical projects up to $9,000,000.
• Build budgets from SD and DD documents and track design-phase cost movement.
• Convert bids into working project budgets and hand off to PMs.
• Drive value engineering with cost-saving alternates.
• Maintain bid tracking, pricing updates, and vendor quotes.
• Administer Accubid Pro estimating database and price updates.
• Manage electronic bid solicitations in Procore and BuildingConnected.
• Provide day-to-day direction to a junior estimator.
