Flex is seeking an Application Electrical Engineer for our Vaughan, Ontario site. You will prepare material and labor cost estimates for relay and control panels, switchgear, and steel enclosures, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

You will review proposals and drawings, identify scope, and collaborate with engineering, business development, and project management teams to ensure accurate estimates and timely bid submissions.

Formación

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in Excel and cost-tracking tools.
• Experience or leadership/mentorship in project estimation or similar roles.
• Experience in the electrical power industry is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Gather and review proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents to determine scope of work.
• Communicate with customers during bid phase for clarifications and scope information to complete estimates.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
• Create and submit cost estimates for review.
• Attend weekly bid meetings to provide status of open estimates and updates.
• Maintain accurate pricing information from suppliers and update estimate sheets accordingly.
• Work on multiple estimates simultaneously, coordinating with engineering, BD and PM teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
