Job summary

Forest Electric NJ seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator with extensive experience in power and lighting systems, medium voltage distribution, data centers, and hospitals to support Edison, NJ projects and collaborate with project management. Responsibilities include preparing detailed estimates and take-offs, obtaining vendor pricing, and assisting with bid reviews.

Travel to field locations is possible; on-site attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of estimating electrical construction projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Produce estimates and proposals for electrical power and lighting systems.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and assign material and labor values.
• Acquire vendor pricing for specialty materials, equipment and systems.
• Assist in lead estimate reviews; review cost trends and bids vs final estimates.
• Coordinate with field teams and project management; participate in project kick-off/turnover meetings.
• Occasionally commute to field locations; regular on-site attendance is essential.
