Job summary

Jack Hornsby Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare complete electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects, reviewing plans, specs, and bid documents. You'll perform quantity takeoffs, build competitive proposals, meet with customers to understand project goals, and develop solutions while cultivating strong vendor relationships.

You will stay current on labor trends, material pricing, and market conditions, supporting project turnover and collaborating

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop competitive proposals.
• Meet with customers to understand project goals and develop solutions.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Follow up on submitted bids and help convert opportunities into awarded projects.
• Support project turnover and collaborate with Project Managers.
• Stay current on labor trends, material pricing, and market conditions.
