Job summary

EPI Power is hiring an Estimator II or Estimator III to join our team. The Estimator III prepares complete estimates for construction projects under guidance and direction of his or her supervisor.

The role includes quantity surveying, pricing, bid solicitation, compiling cost history, and preparation of system comparisons and cost analysis reports. EPI Power, LLC is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of experience in an estimating role.
• Construction industry experience is a plus.
• An industry related bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quantity surveying, pricing, bid solicitation, compiling cost history, and preparing systems comparisons.
• Read and develop an understanding of all technical plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Develop an understanding of estimating software and produce reliable quantity surveys.
• Generate schematic estimates and price using historical data and project conditions.
• Assist in bid solicitations and communicate required scope of work.
• Help maintain estimating documents, addenda, changes, and clarifications.
• Review trade proposals to identify gaps and estimate impacts.
