Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking an Estimator to calculate the cost of electrical construction for commercial and industrial projects. You will review project documents, develop competitive bid proposals, and analyze value engineering opportunities to optimize labor and material costs.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of electrical estimating experience on large-scale projects, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with Accubid/Accubid LiveCount.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience for commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience estimating projects valued at $5 million and above.
• Advanced skills with MS Office; strong organization.
• Experience with Accubid and Accubid LiveCount preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, bid documents to create bid proposals.
• Calculate electrical construction costs from reviews.
• Analyze value engineering options considering labor/material costs.
• Identify inconsistencies or conflicts in bid documents.
• Develop bid strategies to gain competitive advantages.
• Prepare RFIs and request quotes from vendors.
