YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing and completing bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Senior Estimator acts as the Lead Estimator for projects and collaborates with other estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete the estimate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs on projects and complete estimates to computer printout.
2. Identify key parts of the project that are critical to making a competitive estimate.
3. Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
4. Evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
5. Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub-estimates for assigned bids.
6. Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back up estimate figures.
7. Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on projected site conditions and historical data.
8. Prepare detailed listings of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
9. Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes, reviewing for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
10. Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.
11. Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
12. Review scope, technical requirements, and pricing with the Chief Estimator prior to formal bid package issuance.
13. Meet with Project Management after successful bids to explain job scope and potential areas of attention for project transition.
14. Maintain files of all working documents and update the Rosendin estimating program.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical engineering design drawings.
2. Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
3. Estimate all types of projects and coordinate/supervise group efforts.
4. Mentor and assist with the development of estimators.
5. Identify and meet customer needs, expectations, and requirements.
6. Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing requirements.
8. Work under pressure with a positive attitude.
9. Effective oral and written communication skills.
10. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
11. Interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 4 years of electrical estimating or relevant experience.
3. Experience with Accubid estimating software, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam.
4. Experience in CAD or 3D software.
5. Relevant education, training, or experience can be considered.

TRAVEL: Up to 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily indoor work with varying environmental conditions, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs., and adherence to ADA and other legal accommodations.

Pay Range

$95,400.00-$125,200.00 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.
