Job Description

Johnson Service Group is looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator for one of our clients in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical construction with a strong understanding of the entire bid process.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans, scope of work, and bid documents
• Prepare onscreen takeoffs
• Independently produce high-quality, accurate estimates
• Provide breakouts, clarifications, and additional pricing as needed
• Manage the design stage of design/build projects
• Manage the quotation/bidding process, maintain bid logs, project calendar, and project folder
• Transition projects awarded to the General Manager and/or Project Managers
• Build relationships with existing customers
• Expand customer base and projects through networking and proactive seeking of new bidding opportunities
• Develop and train junior estimators
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience from start to finish
• Solid understanding of pricing and bidding processes
• Knowledge of Accubid and Live Count software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility quickly
• Attention to detail and organization skills
• Strong time management skills
• Previous electrical construction experience is a plus
• Construction Management Degree is a plus
• Valid CDL with a clean driving record
