Job summary

Jobot seeks a permanent Senior Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate bids for high voltage transmission projects. You will interpret electrical drawings, estimate costs, and collaborate across project teams to ensure competitive, compliant proposals.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with EHV transmission lines and transmission line construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.

Job Details

1. Responsibilities:
   1. Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints to understand the scope of work and to determine the cost, materials, and labor required for the project.
   2. Preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for EHV transmission line projects, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
   3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information about a project.
   4. Analyzing different suppliers and contractors to get the best cost-effective deals.
   5. Using Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and presentations, and to track and manage project costs.
