Job summary

GPAC is representing a premier local electrical contractor in Las Vegas, NV, seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid, McCormick or Conest, and strong skills in interpreting blueprints, cost control, and mentorship of junior estimators. Excellent collaboration with PMs and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Experience estimating commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Proficiency with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest estimating software.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost control.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts with precision.
• Leadership or senior estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to develop comprehensive bids.
• Conduct detailed take-offs, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimates.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze historical cost data and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to verify project conditions.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing.
• Oversee junior estimators, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Collaborate on value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and contract requirements.
