Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Proven experience leading or managing estimating efforts or departments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, labor productivity, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with electrical estimating and takeoff software (Accubid, McCormick, PlanSwift, or similar).
• Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and meetings.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical estimating department, including estimating processes, pricing strategies, and workload prioritization.
• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates, bids, and proposals from plans, specifications, and field walkthroughs.
• Visit customer sites to review scope, assess conditions, and build strong client relationships.
• Actively pursue new work by networking with customers, contractors, and industry partners.
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, labor units, and vendor pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness and profitability.
• Mentor and train junior estimators or support staff as the department grows.
• Stay current with market conditions, material pricing, labor trends, and electrical codes.
