Job summary

Overwatch Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and equipment specification for mission-critical data centers in Santa Teresa, NM. The role requires deep expertise in power systems, coordination with designers, and ensuring on-time, within-budget project delivery.

You will develop owner- and contractor-installed equipment specs, support procurement, and guide operations with advanced energy efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Expertise in diesel engine standby generators, uninterruptible power, switchgear and overhead busway.
• Lithium BESS understanding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third-party design consultants.
• Ensure that project designs are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Supply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company’s existing facilities.
• Develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner-furnished and contractor-installed equipment and systems.
• Support the procurement of owner-furnished and contractor-installed equipment and systems through vendor submittal reviews, approvals, and factory witness testing.
• Maintain and update the legacy basis of design documents.
• Assist in development of new basis of designs for emerging business needs.
• Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to maximize energy and cost efficiency of the company’s data centers.
• Communicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and design related to the organization’s industry.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
