Job summary

Red Cat Holdings, through its Teal Drones unit, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the electrical engineering team. You will oversee embedded systems, battery management, motor control, and RF systems from concept through production, ensuring high performance and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 7 years in EE, including 4 in leadership; drone/aerospace experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years electrical engineering experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Drone, aerospace experience is highly desirable.
• Proficient in PCB design, embedded electronics, signal processing, RF design and control systems.
• Experience with CAD tools and PLM systems (e.g., Altium, Arena).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers; set objectives and timelines.
• Oversee embedded systems, battery management, motor control, RF comms; production transition.
• Drive innovative electronic designs to boost performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of electrical systems.
• Guide engineering verification, product qualification, and NPI activities.
