Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer III/IV to lead electrical systems design for unmanned aircraft platforms. You will collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate, test, and document electronics and wiring across UAS programs.

The role emphasizes diagnostic proficiency, Altium-based harness design, and close collaboration with production to resolve NCRs and ensure system reliability. A strong team player with communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting circuits in UAS platforms.
• Proficiency in Altium for circuit board / harness design.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and CAN bus communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for UAS platforms.
• Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits.
• Work with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms.
• Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems in UAS platforms.
• Act as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line.
• Address and close out non-conformances from the production line.
• Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems.
