Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in Florida is seeking an Electrical Engineer III/IV to join our unmanned aerial systems team. You will design, develop, and test electrical systems for UAS platforms, and guide wire harness integration.

You will collaborate with mechanical and software engineers, document schematics in Altium, and serve as avionics liaison to production, ensuring high-quality, reliable flight electronics.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of experience
• Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting circuits in UAS platforms
• Proficiency in Altium for circuit board / harness design
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and CAN bus communication
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for UAS platforms
• Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits
• Work with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms
• Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems in UAS platforms
• Act as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line.
• Address and close out non-conformances from the production line.
• Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems
