Job summary

Enpro Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for a temporary up-to-12-month assignment at the McGregor Site, Boise, ID. You will lead electrical design, controls integration, and commissioning across automation workstreams with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive safety and compliance, and deliver robust electrical solutions for production lines and robot cells in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years delivering electrical design and integration for automation equipment or production lines.
• Experience with electrical design tools and drawing standards/revision control.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet) and safety systems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and release control panels and machine wiring including power distribution and grounding.
• Integrate electrical systems for automation cells and production-line stations.
• Collaborate with controls/software, mechanical, manufacturing, and safety stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide hands-on support during build, debug, and commissioning.
• Design and integrate Robot Main systems, including sensors and field devices.
• Implement safety systems and support compliance documentation.
• Develop RFID/QR hardware and coordinate data handoff to controls/software.
• Plan electrical utility needs for plant layout and coordinate installation constraints.
• Execute bring-up, commissioning, and debugging for line stations and test queues.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and drive issue resolution.
