Job summary

MR Power Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead a team, ensure technical quality of studies, and mentor specialists. The role supports flexible hours and remote work, with occasional client-site visits.

You will oversee digital twins development, perform core studies, and contribute to international projects across Europe/EMEA. Strong IEC/IEEE knowledge and English communication are essential for global collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for digital twins using ETAP, SKM, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, Caneco and EOM.
• Perform and review load flow analysis, protection coordination, harmonic analysis and arc flash risk assessments (IEEE 1584).
• Ensure high quality of assessments and reports.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team and share best practices.
• Support sales as a technical expert in client discussions.

Senior Electrical Engineer | Team Leader

You will be responsible for the technical quality of our studies and along with the team's growth for mentoring and managing other specialists, supported by our HR expert in soft-skills development.

Flexible working hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Bonus system

Quarterly bonuses (up to 1 salary)

Work from anywhere. We do not require relocation or office attendance. You will visit client sites when the project genuinely requires it.

What do we expect from the candidate?

Must-have

• A university degree in electrical engineering or power engineering.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in advanced power system studies — this is an essential requirement.
• Strong practical proficiency in at least one of the following software packages: ETAP, DIgSILENT or SKM.
• A solid understanding of power system protection coordination and selectivity, short-circuit calculations and arc flash risk assessment, together with practical knowledge of electrical equipment and power installations.
• Knowledge of relevant IEC, IEEE and CENELEC standards.
• Strong communication skills and a natural willingness to share knowledge—you want to lead and teach others.
• English proficiency sufficient for confident technical communication—we work on international projects.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business and attend industry conferences, including as a speaker.

Nice-to-have

• Proficiency in an additional EU language.
• Experience delivering training or speaking in public.

What will you be doing?

• Provide technical oversight of the development of digital twins of electrical installations using ETAP, SKM and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, Caneco and EOM.
• Perform and review key studies:
  • Load flow analysis
  • Protection coordination
  • Harmonic analysis
  • Arc flash risk assessments in accordance with IEEE 1584
  • Ensure the highest quality of our assessments and technical reports.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team by sharing knowledge and establishing best practices.
• Support the sales team as a technical expert, participating in client discussions in an advisory capacity.
