Job summary

HNTB Corporation in New Jersey seeks a senior engineer to produce and modify design calculations, technical reports and engineering plans for electrical projects in transportation infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, CCTV and security systems.

You will lead discipline delivery on large multi‑disciplinary projects, manage scope and budget, mentor staff and assist in proposals. PE license is preferred. Open locations: Newark, Parsippany, and New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply senior technical expertise to a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Lead planning, work distribution, and budget adherence on complex projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities and proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and manage adherence to scope and budget.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of project team outputs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff.
• Coordinate with client counterparts and teaming partners on projects.
• Lead discipline delivery on large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff including performance reviews.
• Approve timecards and coordinate schedules.
