Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to specify, design, develop and install sensors for solid rocket motor burn data. You will create PCBs, firmware and FPGA code for production and testing, including safety-critical designs, and configure data collection systems with software tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years designing, developing and installing sensors for data on system performance.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW or NI DAQmx or equivalent data acquisition systems.
• Strong signal conditioning and analog circuit design knowledge.
• Deep understanding of ADC and digital circuit design.
• Experience developing computer applications for data collection.
• Ability to select sensors and place them for motor performance metrics.
• Strong applied math and physics background.
• Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Ability to write and understand Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current equipment to identify inefficiencies; design instrumentation to meet needs.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate, efficient equipment and instrumentation with safety in mind.
• Design and test prototypes of equipment including PCBA and electrical system components.
• Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands-on testing and rework as necessary.
• Create basic schematics and simulated models to test designs; modify specs to meet requirements and budget.
• Oversee implementation of new measuring devices and control systems; ensure proper testing.
• Act as project engineer for design, prototype fabrication and manufacturing development.
• Develop cable drawings to interface to various low voltage interfaces.
• Draft and present technical documents, reports and testing results for approval.
• Provide training related to devices to employees and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
