Job summary

SR2 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design embedded and power electronics for autonomous robotic platforms. The role focuses on robust schematics, PCB layouts, and real-time firmware development within a fast-paced startup environment.

You will collaborate with mechanical and software teams, perform simulations and validation, and optimize systems for low-latency performance while meeting power constraints. Remote start transitioning to on-site in San Jose, CA as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with microcontroller-based embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of CAN/UART/SPI/I2C and serial protocols.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded and power electronics systems for autonomous robotic platforms.
• Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts focused on reliability and manufacturability.
• Develop real-time firmware in C++ and Python.
• Perform electrical simulations, validation, and debugging.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams for system integration.
• Optimize for low-latency, real-time performance and power constraints.
• Support hardware bring-up, testing, and field validation.
