Burns Engineering is seeking a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Rail & Transit team in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes leading electrical design, coordinating with clients and contractors, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

You will review drawings, perform site inspections, and mentor junior staff while supporting project delivery and technical excellence. A PE license and extensive design experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Professional Engineer with a B.S. in Engineering and at least 10 years of related experience; equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 6 years of electrical design experience.

• Lead design approaches and concepts on assigned projects with senior technical staff support.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with suppliers, contractors and client representatives.
• Perform on-site inspections and coordinate design requirements with contractors.
• Develop innovative technical solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and production.
• Mentor staff and contribute to project coordination and client presentations.
