Job summary

Jobot, a top-ranked engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Sr Electrical Engineer / Project Manager for a hybrid role in Irving, TX. The position combines electrical engineering with project management, requiring leadership on design, coordination of disciplines, and client interaction.

The candidate should have 6+ years in the MEP industry, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and Revit/AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
• 6+ years of experience in the MEP industry
• EIT certification required; PE license is a plus
• Revit & AutoCAD software proficiency
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience coordinating with other disciplines on projects
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs, constraints and success criteria
• Lead the design team to develop docs and ensure constructable, code-compliant designs

Responsibilities

• Lead design development including conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling
• Coordinate all design disciplines for a comprehensive, constructable design
• Manage client expectations throughout the design process
• Communicate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to meet objectives and schedules
• Serve as Owner’s representative during construction (RFI response, submittal review, site inspections)
• Provide mentorship to junior designers and engineers
