Actalent in Greenville, SC is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to design industrial power systems (120V-15kV) and PLC controls, with guidance from a Senior engineer. You will perform detailed calculations, develop one-line diagrams, BOMs, and panel schedules, and create equipment specifications in line with NEC and NFPA standards.

The role is contract-to-hire and hybrid, with occasional site visits, eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to mentor junior

Qualifications

• Engineering Technology degree or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems.
• 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with power systems design and standards.

Responsabilités

• Collect and prepare data and perform detailed engineering calculations (short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, arc flash, lighting, heat trace).
• Design detailed drawing packages (one-line diagrams, BOMs, panel schedules, lighting plans).
• Create specifications for transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Complete designs using the National Electric Code and other standards.
• Work with and provide direction to electrical designers.
• Assist in fieldwork and problem-solving on installations.
