Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Opportunity Summary

We’re a fast-paced, venture-backed startup developing a portable nuclear microreactor designed to deliver clean, resilient energy anywhere it’s needed. We’re hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development of high-voltage power systems for our microreactor platform, overseeing the full lifecycle from design to deployment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

About Us

Our team is reimagining mobile energy with a compact, factory-built microreactor that replaces diesel generators with clean nuclear power, supporting communities and operations with unreliable grid access. Our mission is to build the first mass-produced, zero-emissions nuclear system, and we’re assembling a team of innovators to achieve this goal.

Job Duties

• Lead development and optimization of power systems for a nuclear energy platform
• Design and analyze high-voltage electrical systems for performance, cost, and reliability
• Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation
• Conduct simulations and modeling of electrical performance and stability
• Perform factory acceptance testing and support on-site commissioning
• Coordinate with engineering teams and external partners for system integration
• Mentor and lead electrical systems team members

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering focusing on power systems
• 5+ years of experience with high-voltage electrical equipment
• Expertise in cable sizing, grounding, protection systems, and analyses like short circuit and EMI/EMC
• Ability to manage systems from concept to deployment
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Experience

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power systems
• 10+ years in energy systems such as turbines or microgrids
• Familiarity with microgrid controls and energy tools like ETAP, SKM, PSCAD
• Experience in startups or R&D environments is a plus
