Job summary

Williams Power Innovation is seeking a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer to lead design and optimization of electrical systems for critical infrastructure. You will shape power distribution, drive automation and energy storage, and ensure robust safety and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical standards, and manage projects from concept through execution in a dynamic energy environment. Houston-based, hybrid work model may apply.

Qualifications

• Staff: ABET EE degree + 15 years in natural gas, data centers or related industry
• Senior: ABET EE degree + 8 years in natural gas, data centers or related industry
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• PE License preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure
• Drive Power Innovation initiatives, including automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systems
• Apply and enhance safety practices, including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systems
• Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for new construction and upgrades
• Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring scope, schedule, and objectives
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE standards
• Mentor and develop engineers, influence standards and technical strategy
