Job summary

Nidec Minster Corporation has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer at its Minster, Ohio facility. The role focuses on state-of-the-art control systems, involving PLCs, HMI, servo systems, and industrial networking.

Collaborate with customers, sales, and vendors to integrate these technologies into industrial products. You will work within the Electrical Engineering Department to implement hardware and software controls, while advancing automation capabilities and maintaining CAD/BOM

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology preferred or assoc. degree with relevant work exp.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing/automation environments.
PE license preferred; experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install and commission controls on metal forming equipment (PLC, HMI, VFD, electrical components).
Collaborate with engineering to procure/build industrial controls, maintain CAD drawings and BOM.
Provide advanced field service support during installation of custom controls.
Interact with customers, design teams and vendors to define scope and deliverables.
Advance internal proficiencies and align products across engineering groups.
Other duties as assigned.
