Job summary

Nidec Minster Corporation in Minster, OH is seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer to design, implement and commission state-of-the-art control systems for industrial equipment. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo motors and industrial networks to deliver robust automated solutions in a collaborative team.

The role involves field service, customer and vendor interaction, CAD/BOM management, and cross-functional project work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology required or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial automation environment is highly desirable.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs and servo controls in manufacturing settings.
Programming experience in VB.NET, C#, C++ is a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with WPF or WinUI UI frameworks is a plus.
Ability to work in a dynamic team and manage multiple projects.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
Travel up to 10% (some international).

Responsibilities

Install and commission controls on equipment in the metal forming industry using PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and other components.
Collaborate with engineering to procure and build industrial controls, maintaining CAD drawings and BOM.
Provide advanced field service support during installation of customized controls.
Interact with customers, design teams and vendors to define scope and deliverables.
Advance internal proficiencies while aligning products with NP&A engineering groups.
Other duties as assigned.
