Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Wilson, NC seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join the manufacturing team at the Wilson plant.

The facility produces tires at a large scale with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. This individual contributor role requires strong technical leadership and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. You will design, test, and implement electrical systems for production lines, develop wiring diagrams, and write PLC ladder logic and HMI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of five years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with control systems and PLCs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safety Design Process: risk assessment, risk mitigation, safety testing, and validation of safety systems.
• Oversee technical trades: ensure quality of workmanship and safety compliance.
• Lead project scope, budget, justification, procurement, installation, and verification.
• Develop hardware wiring diagrams for control systems.
• Develop control software in PLC ladder logic and HMI programming.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet specifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production to resolve electrical issues.
