Job summary

Ware Malcomb in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver comprehensive building engineering solutions for diverse clients. You will steer projects as Engineer of Record, coordinate with designers, owners and contractors, and guide the team through technical studies, drawings and specifications.

This full-time role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, 15+ years of experience, strong communication, and financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex ideas and motivate teams.
• Advanced financial knowledge to perform complex calculations and deliver financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects as Engineer of Record (EOR) and lead team members with phases such as studies, analysis, design, drawings and specs.
• Coordinate the design process between trades and with designers, owners and contractors.
• Plan engineering program to meet project requirements and organize project team.
• Control expenditures within project budget (Fee and Expenses).
• Review calculations from software to verify accuracy.
• Mentor engineers in principles and applications.
• Lead field work (Verification, CA Punchlists, Troubleshooting) for technical projects.
