Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Senior, Licensed Electrical Engineer to join our Phoenix team. The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years in electrical engineering with building systems design.

You will lead design projects from concept to construction, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across healthcare, laboratories, manufacturing, educational, and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license (Electrical)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in consulting/design-build
• Experience with healthcare, laboratories, manufacturing, educational, or commercial facilities

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for facilities including healthcare, laboratories, educational, and government buildings.
• Develop designs and construction documents using BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing systems and project requirements.
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines; mentor junior engineers.
• Stay current on electrical codes and industry standards; explore emerging technologies.
• Support projects from concept through construction administration and post-occupancy.
