Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking a Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE required) to lead electrical design across healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects.

This role produces stamped documents, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and supports the full project lifecycle from concept through construction administration. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and external consultants, serving as the internal electrical resource for project

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of electrical design experience in AEC environment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 110, NFPA 99.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and stamp electrical construction documents (power, lighting, grounding, emergency systems).
• Perform load calculations and size electrical distribution systems.
• Design lighting systems and ensure energy code compliance.
• Design emergency and standby power systems (generators, ATS, etc.).
• Coordinate fire alarm and low-voltage systems with contractors and AHJs.
• Support AV, telecom, security, and access control systems.
• Work in Revit and AutoCAD for BIM coordination.
• Collaborate with mechanical and architectural teams.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Conduct site visits and support construction administration.
• Support proposals and business development when needed.
