Advantage Point Group (APG) is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join our facilities design team in St. Paul, MN.

The role focuses on designing electrical systems for industrial facilities, including lighting and power distribution, with leadership responsibilities and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will mentor junior staff, ensure code compliance, and manage projects to meet deadlines while coordinating ARC flash studies with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience for commercial/industrial projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities with organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Type of Projects

Facilities Design at industrial plants such as lighting systems, power distribution systems, classified areas, clean rooms, construction, data centers, equipment installations, labs, offices, process lines, restrooms, remodels, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems align with project goals.
• Develop and review electrical engineering documents, specifications, and plans.
• Design and oversee the implementation of complex power distribution systems and lighting systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coordinate projects efficiently, balancing delegation and hands‑on work.
• Collaborate with a dynamic multi‑disciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Communicate project status and technical information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate ARC flash studies and collaborate with external engineering subcontractors.

Schedule

Mon‑Fri, day shifts with time and a half after 40 hours (optional).

Compensation and Benefits

• $60 to $90 per hour depending on qualifications.
