Job Description
LBE, Inc. is looking for an Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in building electrical system design. Candidate must have great communications skills, be able to lead electrical design projects, and provide multi-discipline project management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical design projects from the conceptual phase through design completion
- Apply strong knowledge of industry standard electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures
- Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to provide a comprehensive project design
- Lead technical electrical design portions of a project in multi-discipline environment
- Develop studies and narratives to help clients meet project requirements
- Select equipment and design code compliant electrical systems to achieve client objectives related to uptime and reliability of mission critical facilities
- Conduct fault current analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination studies
- Participate in project site visits
- Mentor, direct, and oversee work of junior staff and designers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Current Professional Engineer license plus the ability to obtain licensing in other states
- 10+ years of design experience
- Eligibility for a U.S. security clearance
- Proficiency in production software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, and Auto CAD
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with Federal/Military Facilities
- SKM program experience
