Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer with an active security clearance for an onsite, direct-hire role to lead electrical design on government and commercial projects. U.S. citizenship and a PE license are required.

You will design lighting, power, fire alarm, and telecom/data systems, conduct surveys, prepare specs, write reports, and ensure projects meet schedule and budget. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKM is essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32 and SKM.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• 10+ years designing lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom/data, UPS, grounding, and utility systems.
• Experience with renovation and new projects for commercial, government, and institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for electrical project issues.
• Manage projects from start to finish without direction.
• Conduct surveys of existing conditions.
• Write technical reports.
• Design and specify lighting, power, fire alarm, and telecom/data systems.
• Prepare project specifications.
• Respond to RFIs during bidding and construction.
• Review construction submittals.
• Conduct and document final inspections.
• Generate As-Built drawings.
• Ensure all project work meets schedule and budget.
• Perform quality control reviews as directed by the Department Head.
