Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for New Product Introduction (NPI) to join its world class team in Fremont, CA. The role involves transferring NPI projects to Bloom Manufacturing and contract manufacturers, leading the electrical team, developing wiring diagrams, harness drawings, test procedures, and working with suppliers on test requirements and fixtures.

The candidate will manage BOMs/ECNs, drive DFM, develop test equipment, and train manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications

2+ years in Electrical Engineering or NPI.
Experience with high voltage equipment testing.
Experience in rapid scale-up of a new product.
Knowledge of mechanical assemblies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage new NPI project transfers to Bloom Manufacturing and CM’s.
Communicate clearly within the team and with external vendors.
Develop interconnect wiring diagrams/schematics, wire harness drawings, and test procedures.
Lead electrical team.
Perform failure analysis of electrical components and implement preventative or corrective actions.
Panel layout and prototyping.
Develop work instructions.
Collaborate with suppliers to generate test requirements, test fixtures and test software.
Develop and manage BOMs, ECNs, Deviations.
Ensure design for manufacturability within the development team.
Develop test equipment from concept to commissioning.
Train manufacturing personnel on test process, equipment, and software.
