Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• 5+ years of knowledge in electrical systems, power electronics, control systems and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, ability to work on ships and in challenging environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot electrical components and systems for EMALS/AAG.
• Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications and system documentation.
• Conduct investigations to identify and resolve system issues and provide recommendations.
• Perform system testing, validation, and evaluation for performance and safety standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and operational safety of systems.
• Troubleshoot and develop procedures for shipboard emergencies and testing outside normal hours.
• Prepare technical reports and review engineering change requests (REIs/Variances).
• Ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Travel up to 30% including international assignments and aboard naval vessels.
