Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of power and motion control systems for robotic platforms. You will guide actuator selection, design PCBs, and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Your work will emphasize motor control, power delivery, EMI/EMC, and thermal management for high-power electronics in compact mobile systems.

Qualifications

Experience in power electronics used in robotics systems.
Background in designing and validating motor control PCBs.
Ability to collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies for actuator selection.
Lead design, layout, and validation of PCBs for power distribution and motor control.
Develop test and measurement infrastructure for power electronics and motor control.
Collaborate with firmware engineers on real-time control strategies.
Work with mechanical engineers to integrate thermal management for high-power electronics.
Support integration, bring-up and testing of prototype actuators with firmware and mechanical teams.
Ensure EMI/EMC compliance, signal integrity, and thermal design for a compact mobile system.
Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to source components and oversee production.
