Key Role Responsibilities - Core

ME Engineer Family - Core

• Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
• Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems based on program and schematic design information.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for projects.
• Learns to develop scopes of work for mechanical and electrical systems to coordinate during bidding.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
• Supports development of sequencing requirements and provides solutions to meet schedule needs.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues.
• Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
• Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes.
• Supports the commissioning process, including developing checklists and testing procedures.
• Promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policies.

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core

In addition, this role will:

• Perform increasingly complex activities in mechanical, electrical, and field construction.
• Develop and review budget estimates and systems analysis, recommending best solutions and value engineering.
• Coordinate scopes during bidding and develop sequencing and scheduling inputs.
• Review design documents for quality issues and develop quality control programs.
• Conduct job inspections and develop functional testing procedures.
• Review and approve shop drawings.
• Generate and submit commissioning plans and documentation.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and create innovative tools for process improvement.
• Continue to support diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to perform work accurately and timely.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop proficiency in JE Dunn's construction tools and software.
• Knowledge of construction management methods.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required).
• Equivalent relevant experience considered.

Experience

• 5+ years in construction or engineering (Preferred).

Working Environment

• Valid driver’s license required.
