JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside a diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating systems.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for projects.
  • Learns to develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
  • Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
  • Assists in developing sequencing requirements and provides solutions to meet schedule needs.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and develop constructability review reports.
  • Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met in a timely manner.
  • Supports the shop drawing/submittal process to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Assists with the commissioning process, including developing pre-functional checklists and testing procedures.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policy.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field activities.
  • Develops and reviews estimates, systems analysis, and value engineering suggestions.
  • Coordinates scopes of work during bidding and develops sequencing and schedule inputs.
  • Reviews design documents for quality issues and develops quality control programs.
  • Prepares and verifies functional testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Mentors less experienced team members and develops innovative tools and solutions.
  • Supports diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Accuracy and timeliness in work.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related field (Required), or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years construction or engineering experience (Preferred).
Working Environment & Benefits
