Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers in Wayne, PA, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead Mission Critical electrical designs for data centers nationwide. This role offers growth potential and a chance to work on high-profile projects with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include power distribution calculations, design of electrical systems, site surveys, cost estimates, and coordination across disciplines. A strong background in data centers, arc flash, and Revit is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Center critical power distribution and lighting systems design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE preferred; EIT certification required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit for design.
• Knowledge of arc flash, short circuit, and photometric calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations for feeders, services, short circuit, transformer size.
• Design building electrical distribution, fire alarm and security systems.
• Perform on-site surveys of existing electrical equipment.
• Determine schedules and details required for the project. Review with project engineer.
• Attend job meetings as required.
• Ensure flow of information between disciplines.
• Assist in writing reports and feasibility studies.
• Prepare cost estimates and specifications.
