Job description

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems and equipment to provide a useful and safe environment for the Mission Critical market in accordance with the clients’ requirements for reliability and uptime.
  • Advise clients regarding electrical systems and requirements to meet their needs and comply with all applicable codes.
  • Monitor installation of designed equipment and systems to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Conduct fault studies and load flow analysis; develop design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, and medium and low voltage distribution.
  • Develop and/or lead the design of electrical master plans for facilities encompassing reliable power distribution, motor control centers, energy‑efficient lighting systems, communications and telecom routing, instrumentation and controls for HVAC systems, fire‑alarm interface, building‑level UPS systems, and engine generators.
  • Review electrical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
  • Provide electrical design direction and resource management on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Develop concept studies, designs, and narratives.
  • Participate in the identification, recruiting, and management of resources to meet the needs of the business.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • 7 years of electrical engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members; ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills; ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
Compensation

$155,000.00–$215,000.00 yearly. Compensation includes a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year‑end incentive bonus program, with the total package based on education, qualifications, prior experience, and work location.
